Number of Hours: A total of 720 contact hours are offered in 36 weeks. The daily schedule consists of 4 hours of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA).

Levels: Three language levels of each group course are offered: the beginners level, the intermediate level, and the advanced level. The three levels may get subdivided into sub-levels depending on number of enrolled students. A student will have to sit for a placement test on the first day of the course to determine the group class he or she should join.

Text Books: Different international and local textbooks are used. Main textbooks are ‘Al-Kitaab Series’ (Alif Baa, Al-Kitaab I,II,III). The textbooks are supplemented by other materials and activities.

Course Content: Course content will be decided by the instructor based on the levels and language needs of the students. The topics covered in the course are carefully selected to enhance the students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar.
